- Disabled, waiting for an ankle replacement, at fifty five, I still love to ride very much. Trained gymcanta horses as a young woman and have owned horses off and on all my life, currently without one, but looking. Hoping to trade my emus for a horse right now.
I spend most of my time gardening, fixing my house or working with my elk hide. Just had to cut into a full hide to make a purse ordered, so I guess I'll be making my double pouches again.
Turns out the dander from the birds I was hoping to raise was putting my health at great risk. Heartbreaking as it was, I rehomed all my birds, well, still have the Emus, really didn't want to get rid of them, but I know I have to, so I've posted ads for them. I still have some chickens, but they are penned up in the back, and I need to wear one of those filter maskes when I play with them. This all came right after had to bury my great dane, Caesar, so depression rose it's ugly head, and another horse is exactly what I need, riding is one of the last things I can still do that I enjoy, swimming being second.
I'm looking for a small horse, about fourteen or fifteen hands, I'm only 5'1", 110lbs. Bomb proof would be nice, too old to train anymore, and have to ride streets to get to trails. Cash is short for me, just comming out of a hole, but won't be before too long, I think I lost the horse for me because of my financial situation, it will be hard to find another equal to him. But it will all work out, time changes all.
